What Strategy would you use?

November 30, 2005 By Al Martine

So let’s say you are your everyday Internet company selling holiday’s to English folks wanting to skiing? What would you do?

Personally, I’d sell the Internet company and reinvest the money into a US baseball team in China but that’s been my default answer to every strategy case.

It’s a tough moment in life when the most interesting thing for the entire day is a small discussion on a strategy final. How sad.

Here’s an interesting email – it’s a vote on who should be the basketball captain for the team going to the MBAT (MBA Tournament). I completely forgot about signing up to play and ticking the ‘interested in captaining’ box. Had to tick my name for captain, hell, it’s not like I haven’t paid a pretty big price for one basketball game.

Well considering my ankle, it’s not like I really lost a step from the injury. I was always pretty slow without much of a vertical. Of course, there was a point where I went down stairs as quickly as going up them.

Time to develop more strategy.
