Spanish Soap Operas

March 22, 2006 By Al Martine

I’m currently relaxing at Connie’s watching a Spanish soap opera. To be honest, it’s a heck of a lot more engaging than English or American soaps. Currently, a little boy is cross dressing and was caught by his mom. Let’s just say it didn’t turn out well. The only thing I keep picking up is por favor (please) and a few Si’s. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Man, interesting show, same kid gets beaten up at school later. When he gets home, his mom sees him and has another go at him. Oh, oh, oh, it’s a flash back scene. I’m getting it now, he wrote a note to someone (lady crying) about all the things that have happened to him. Maybe he ran away.

These are the days of our lives.

New show: unhappy girl with parents who aren’t paying attention. Hey, at least I’ve now confirmed that soaps are the same, no matter what language.
