The small island is starting to show signs of Autumn, but today after the driving rain storm this morning, it has been bright and sunny. What will happen by the time this post is complete is anyone’s guess.
I desperately want to go home and lay on my couch thus allowing my immune system to fight the little critters currently circulating through my system, but the Marketing Department seems to want me to complete some huge project by next Wednesday (actually my group wants this as well) so I sit here debating on when to go to the Mbasement computer lab.
Well there’s a topic I haven’t touched on since returning. Sometime over the Summer the powers that be have built a computer lab in my favorite study place – the MBasement. I knew the changes were coming since last year due to my role on the SA (chairing the projects that shall not be named). Secretly, I’d hoped the idea would go away because the MBasement was a great place to study, but no. Upon returning to school, it’s been renamed to the Peanut Butter and Jelly 01 lab and there are lots of computers.
I thought my reaction would be a lot of disappointment, but the lab is pretty nice and eliminates the need to walk all the way (like 50 yds) to the library. I wish they’d have put the lab somewhere else but it’s pretty good. We still haven’t seen the Mbasement’s replacement for study space. Apparently, it’ll be open in the next couple weeks.
Now that I’ve written about it; I better head over there and start breaking down more data for marketing. Guess basking in the sun on a Friday afternoon has to be left to employed Finance majors or next Summer.
