Wow I’m fired up. My team in New Venture Development is in the information gathering process by conducting interviews within the Industry, a customer survey, and a few focus groups.
Well, a couple days ago I found a company called Eros International. I called them up with my friendliest ‘I’m a London Business School student’ voice (which normally works pretty well). The receptionist was nice, wouldn’t forward me but did have me send her an email. Well, I sent the email without any response. So, today I called back, nice voice and all only to be told that ‘they weren’t interested.’
Weren’t interested? What? You have to be f#£king kidding me. Damn I’m fired up. Sadly, the LBS directory doesn’t list anyone from that company (bummer), but when I searched LinkedIn I found I’m 3 people away thanks to my connections at Infosys. I just dropped the person I am connected with a note asking for a reference. Once I’m done typing this I’ll send a portal email asking for any contacts.
It’s now my mission in life to have a meeting with a representative from this company. I don’t give a #£#£% if it’s the janitor or grounds keeper.
Yes, I am feeling better now.
