Content Portal

April 15, 2009 By Al Martine

I’ve spent the last few hours researching content management systems for a potential new website focused on building a knowledge base of information that could be used by anyone needing information on Alzheimer’s or dementia.  The specific content and design is still up in the air since we don’t want to duplicate other efforts, but the initial research into the technology is very promising.  Without getting too ‘techie’ there’s a lot of good software out in the market for free.

This website runs on something called WordPress.  It’s open source and very powerful considering our foundation paid $0.00 for it.  Turns out, some of the functionality we’d like to have for a information portal is available and free as well.

Now, we just need to decide what we want it too look like and get it started.

Volunteers?

I know some Tech folks read this and at least one brand person.
