Right now it seems it seems that there are two basic story lines for WVU Football. Gino Smith for Heisman and can WVU hack it in the Big 12. Both are interesting story lines especially after being released from the Big East prison. After the pasting we put on Clemson in the Orange Bowl it’s hard to argue that Gino shouldn’t at least be in the conversation. He’s certainly has the talent, surrounding cast and coach to make a run. What is also quite nice this year is there won’t be any weak competition BS conversation.
Which leads me to the second major story line, which is our introduction to the Big 12. Summary from most WVU fans’ point of view: tougher football; weaker basketball. Oh thank you Oliver Luck for getting us the hell out of the Big East-West. Conversations are on how we’ll perform in Austin versus San Diego. What will it be like to Oklahoma on Mountaineer Field and does the Coliseum have a two in the hundreds place when we play TCU in basketball.
